Supplies Required by Parents

Health

• Vaccines - Your child’s shots must be up-to-date
• All children must have a Chicken Pox Vaccine and you provide Noah’s Ark with the “green” health form signed by your child’s doctor.
• If your child has a fever or a contagious disease, he/she will not be allowed to attend class.
• If your child becomes ill, we will call parents and have the child rest in the school office until parents arrive.

SNACKS
Twice a year parents are to provide two 64oz. bottles of 1O0% juice and a box of snacks. Once a year parents are to bring in a box of 5oz Dixie bathroom cups (no styrophome. Please check the size of the cups. You may bring these items in anytime during the month your class is assigned. Examples of snacks are Ritz bits crackers with cheese, cereals such as rice and corn check or golden grahams, pretzels, cheese-it’s, cheeze-its, teddy grahams, honey grahams, popcorn already popped, chex mix, animal crackers and gold fish. NO items with PEANUTS due to allergies.

Mon/Wed/Fri class — September and February — Bring the 5oz cups in December

Tue./Thu. class — November, and March — Bring the 5oz cups in September

CLOTHES
A clean change of clothes should always be provided and kept inside your child’s Noah’s Ark Tote Bag in case of spills or bathroom accidents.

LESSONS
Parents, please read your child’s lesson plans daily, as they will have information on weekly themes, upcoming field trips and class programs Christmas. For current lesson plans click here.

Communications

We want to communicate to you everything that is going on.  Please read the lesson plans, newsletter, and monthly calendars that are provided for you.  They will be in your child’s told bag or on the table outside of your child’s classroom.  You can also find the information here on our web site.

Christmas and Valentines Party

We emphasize Christian holidays, and that is why we don’t dress up for Halloween.

Christmas Party (WAYNE) - December 21st ($2 book exchange)

If you would like to help, we love the extra hands but because of licensing regulations, no siblings may attend.  We will also need some special snacks at that time.

Extra Events Costs

Costs for the Two extra events will be $11

If you are in the 3 Day program at the Wayne location, you will pay $38 the first week of school, but because of Labor Day, there is no school so you will have a $11 credit that will be applied to the field trip and the End of Year program.

The 2 Day program in Wayne and all children enrolled in Ypsilanti must pay this by March 1, 2012.

 

Field trips

 Michigan Academy of Gymnastics

• Wayne Classes - March 14th

• Ypsilanti Classes- March 15th

Michigan Academy of Gymnastics is located in Westland, MI.  You will transport your child and parents and grandparents participation make this an awesome field trip.  Only 3 years and older may be out in the facility but they have a nice lobby if you would like to bring small children.

Exact Times will follow - the times will be around the same time as your children's regular class times.

End of the Year Program and Graduation

• Wayne Classes Graduation - End of School Program - May 16th

• Ypsilanti Classes Graduation - End of School Program - May 24th

We will present to all family and friends that want to attend some of the things we have learned over this school year.  Children that will be going to Kindergarten will have a special graduation ceremony as well.  We will go to the park in Wayne, MI (Goody Park, weather permitted) and the Fellowship Hall in Ypsilanti, MI.  We will have cookies and lemonade after the program.

Pictures

We have been having a photographer come to our school for over 13 years.  You may purchase individual pictures of your child and also class pictures.  We will have a set date at the Wayne location and please have your child dress up even if you will not be buying pictures because they will be in the class photo.  In Ypsilanti - I will send out envelopes a month ahead and if you would like to pre-book pictures and the photographer gets enough orders , he will come out and do the pictures in October or November (enough time for Christmas).  NO RETAKES BUT YOU MUST BE COMPLETELY SATISFIED.

Wayne Classes — October 31st

Pictures are done while children are doing their singing so no class time will be used up.

Conferences

Wayne Families Parent Conference — February 15th

Ypsilanti Families Parent Conference — February 23rd

No regular class that day — We will meet with you individually to talk about your child's progress.  You may bring children and siblings with you during the conference, but it will be only 10-15 minutes long.
